Subject: bumps in the road
Hey Stan,

Not even 6 months into my Rebif treatment and the inevitable insurance problems have arrived.

I THOUGHT my insurance was valid through end of September, but when my meds did not arrive on Wednesday I found out my insurance was cancelled...
SO i gave the Rx company my insurance info from my husband's employer, but they do not work with that insurance...long story short, I got a company on the phone that takes wellmark insurance only to find out it will be 20% of the monthly total.

I'm going from $25 copay to over $400 copay...i've heard others' horror stories, but nothing like living it to really make you say "holy SHIT" this is unreal.

I called MSLifelines to ask about copay assistance and now I'm waiting for them to callback in the next few days and it sounded like they were going to rush since i'm already out of meds...

I missed my shot wednesday and now today as well...likely to miss monday, but i'm hoping by then to have some solution to this...

I hate that I'm missing shots, I wonder if anyone can tell me if this will cause problems, if I can manage to sort this out and get the meds by next week I'd like to take one right away and just get right back on the routine...

This sucks, i'm glad to have insurance but they are crazy if they think anyone could afford $400/month for just one Rx...just had to vent this one out...whew!
